After our first year with the online registration process we have streamlined our process and hopefully made everything easier. Please read the details for your age group and ALL general details at the bottom of the email to get all the registration details.
To start the registration process simply email us at email@example.com the following information (Early bird deadline is March 31, 2014 – Receive $25 gift certificate to Titans Kit and Clothing shop):
- First and last name
- Parent first and last name (both if applicable)
- Community flag rugby (non-contact, no travel, once per week) or Competition
rugby (travel, contact - where applicable, 3 days/week)
- Phone number
- Interest in coaching, team managing, clubhouse concession
New to Titans Youth Rugby is the introduction of “Community Rugby.” Community Rugby is a fun, low commitment program that gives each child an opportunity to experience rugby. Community Rugby is a Flag version (non-contact) of rugby that is enjoyable and fun at all ages. This year we will host Community Rugby Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 at the Titans rugby field and will include all ages U7-U15. The format will be similar model to Timbits Soccer or Pond Hockey where the first 15 minutes with be skills development and the next 45 minutes game play. The rules and style of flag rugby are designed to develop the core skills of a rugby player making it an easy transition into the full version of the game.

With the addition of Community Rugby comes the expansion of Competition Rugby. Competition Rugby is for players interested having a complete rugby experience. Competition Rugby provides a fun environment for skill and athletic development that is age appropriate. Competition rugby includes completing against other clubs in the province which requires travel. Games are typically on Saturdays, with practices Mondays and Thursdays. Monday practices will include participating in Community Flag Rugby at all ages.
Travel can be a difficult experience for players and parents. Driving 2 hours for 5 minutes or less of game time is not ideal. As such please note that team size during travel will be limited to ensure a quality experience. For U11 and down this will be rotational basis and U13 up on a competitive basis. Every player will receive multiple opportunities to travel and play during the season.
Summary – Provincial Competition with other clubs, Contact at appropriate age groups, usually 3 times per week, volunteer and fundraising requirements, in depth coaching and athletic development.
Event Staffing: Parents of Competition players will be required to work three events in the year (March 1 – Sept 30, 2014) with the Titans Event Staffing. If you have more than one child in the program you will only be required to work the three events. A $100 cheque dated September 15, 2015 (above the registration fee) needs to be received by the youth program prior to the season and will be made void upon completion of the three events. Failure to complete the three events by February 28, 2014 will result in the cheque being deposited. The Titans Rugby Club also provides a $6/hr credit for event staffing that can be used towards your future dues or clubhouse purchases. Coaches and Managers: Parents who volunteer as coaches, team managers or other team specific needs such as concession will receive full credit in lieu of the event staffing requirements provided they fulfill their duties throughout the year (The $100 post-dated cheque is still required). Fundraising: We have teamed up with ES Fundraising to raise funds for the youth program. We will be selling wallet sized discount cards that offer year long discounts at local vendors. These cards will sell for $25 each. It will be a requirement this year that each child sell a minimum four cards to friends, family and neighbors. For a family with multiple registered players no more than eight cards are required to be sold.
Equipment to purchase: Cleats (Rugby or Soccer style cleats ONLY), Shorts and Socks (to be purchased at the clubhouse kit shop or a local vendor), mouth guard.
Online Registration – Online registration will commence April 1st and will be required by all players – All players should have pre-registered via email to receive $25 early bird gift certificate.
